CSV to Excel: a checked delivery example
Eight fictional transactions, converted into an Excel workbook with sortable dates, numeric amounts and text identifiers. Download the source and result to compare them.
What this example checks
- Leading zeros and the 18-digit account identifier remain text.
- Dates use Excel date values; amounts and quantities use numeric values.
- Accents, commas, quotation marks, embedded line breaks and the blank reference are retained.
- All 56 fields are checked in each sheet; eight records remain and no row is excluded.
- Two filterable tables and two total formulas are included.
The typed sheet totals 2,742.84 EUR and 22 units. These are fictional values, not sales by CSV Studio.

Agree the rules before conversion
Dates such as 01/02/2026, decimal separators, long numeric values and blank fields need agreed rules. This example only covers the stated schema. It is not a customer result, a native Excel UI test or a guarantee for an unreviewed file. No currency conversion or accounting advice is included.
