Common Google Merchant Center feed errors

Which attributes are required?

Required for each product: id, link, image_link, availability, price, plus title or structured_title and description or structured_description. Identifier and apparel requirements depend on the product and destination.

How must the price be written?

A number with a dot and an ISO 4217 currency code, for example 15.00 EUR. A decimal comma or a missing currency code is not accepted, and a price of 0 is rejected except in specific cases.

Why is my GTIN rejected?

A wrong check digit, altered digits or a restricted prefix can cause a GTIN issue. Scientific notation does not prove the original digits were lost. Verify the manufacturer’s identifier; only set identifier_exists to no if it really does not exist.

Can I upload a comma CSV?

Google documents text data sources in TSV or CSV format. This checker supports tabs and commas. Confirm your data source settings in Merchant Center.

Is my feed sent anywhere?

No. Everything runs in your browser.

This is a local format check. Store pages, images, account settings, identifier ownership and Google approval are not verified.
